To submit a paper, the corresponding author (the person responsible for submitting the article and liaising with the Section Editors) must register on the journal’s OJS3 peer-review platform if they do not already have an account.

Clicking here you can:

  • if the user is already registered, log in;
  • if the user is not yet registered, create a new account.

Files to upload

For each submission, the following files must be uploaded:

Mandatory files 

  • Main text of the paper: authors and their affiliations MUST NOT be included; the text file must be anonymised (see the instructions for removing metadata);
  • Authors’ page: a text file containing the authors, their affiliations, and the address of the corresponding author;
  • Declarations: using the required forms, completed and signed (download the forms in the top right of this page);

If applicable:

  • images: files in image format (.jpg, .tiff, .eps, .xlsx or other image files);
  • tables: in editable format (Word or Excel);
  • any supplementary materials;
  • any permissions required for the reproduction of copyrighted material.

Manuscript preparation

  • Please refer to the general editorial guidelines and those specific to the type of contribution you wish to submit.
  • The main document must be created as an editable text file.
  • Tables and figures must be included within the main document. For figures, you are also required to upload the original high-quality image files (at least 300 dpi) in .jpg, .tiff, .eps, .xlsx or other image file formats.
  • The division into paragraphs and sub-paragraphs must be clear.
  • Footnotes are not permitted. If notes are required, the final paragraph must be renamed ‘References and notes’ and must follow a single set of numbering.
  • Notes must be formatted in accordance with the editorial guidelines provided for the Bibliography.
  • Any supplementary materials must be referenced within the text.
  • If desired, the code used for the study may be shared via the link to the repository where it is stored.
