Archiving Policy

The publisher Inferenze allows authors to archive their work in personal repositories, on institutional websites, or in other non-commercial repositories, subject to a 24-month embargo under the condition here specified.

Abstract and Citation information

Authors may reuse the Abstract and Citation information (e.g., Title, Author name, Publication dates) of their article anywhere at any time including social media and blogs, providing that, where possible, a link is included back to the article on Epidemiologia&Prevezione website. Preferably the link should be, or include, the Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

Original Version

The Original Version is defined here as the un-refereed author version of an article completed before submission of the article to the journal (pre-print version). Authors may share this non-peer-reviewed version on their personal websites, their institutions’ websites, non-commercial repositories or social media. In this case, authors bear full responsibility for the content of the article.

The publisher will consider submissions that have already been made available in the journal’s repository, bioRxiv, medRxiv and other pre-print platforms.

If the article is accepted for publication, Authors are required to update the status of the pre-print, included the assigned DOI.

Accepted manuscript

The accepted manuscript is the version of the authors’ manuscript, as accepted for publication by a journal, including modifications based on referees’ suggestions, before it has undergone copyediting, typesetting, and proof correction (post-print version). This version may be uploaded: 

  • to Authors’ personal webpages (excluding commercial websites and repositories);
  • to Authors’ institutional or other non-commercial subject based repositories;

on the proviso that it is not made publicly available until after the specified embargo period.

After the embargo period (24 months), Authors may upload their accepted manuscript to institutional repository or other non-commercial repositories and make it publicly available.

This version should include the following statement: “This is a pre-copyedited, author-produced version of an article accepted for publication in Epidemiologia&Prevenzione following peer-review. The published version is available online at: [insert URL and DOI of the article on Epidemiologia&Prevenzione website].

Embargo period

Articles published in Epidemiologia&Prevenzione are subject to a 24-month embargo. Open access articles are not subject to any embargo period.

Published version

The published version of the article is available on E&P website both in HTML and as downloadable PDF after editorial editing accepted by the Authors. This version CANNOT be deposited in institutional repository or shared on websites which made it publicly available; it CANNOT be shared on commercial webistes or repositories, unless they signed an agreement with the Publisher permitting such sharing.

If the article is under an open access license, Authors’ may distribute and share the article link everywhere at the moment of its publication.

Commercial webistes and repositories

Commercial websites and repositories are defined as services intended to make a commercial gain: it means that they include charging fees for access or for distribution or Epidemiologia&Prevenzione contents, sell advertising on websites, or sell user data.
